Introduced in 1998, the RUF Turbo R conversion kit offers a package of thorough modifications to
Porscheīs last air-cooled four-wheel drive Turbo:
New camshafts, modified KKK twin turbos, a new exhaust system and the re-mapped Bosch Motronic system increase the
maximum power from 408 hp to 490 bhp at 5,500 rpm.
The interior features RUF sport seats, a smaller steering wheel and the typical RUF green instruments,
the Integrated Roll Cage known from the RUF CTR 2 is available as well as custom designed leather trim.
Completed by RUF five-spoke alloys, chassis modifications include uprated springs & dampers lowering the carīs ride height, larger
anti-roll bars help reduce body roll, adding to a much sportier set-up compared to the relatively soft factory Turbo.
